Would A Leeds Rhinos Win Only Delay The Inevitable?

Leeds Rhinos take on Wakefield tonight in the Elimination Play-Off match in a game which is more than likely going to be close. Wakefield are on a good run of form winning their last 7 matches, whereas Leeds aren’t in great form right now. Stan James have Leeds down to win by 14, I don’t think it will be that easy.

Super League Trophy

But is a victory tonight (for either side) only delaying the inevitable exit next week again the Catalans?

Not many teams go down to the south of France and come away with a victory, and a Catalans side with Leon Price back in the team will be even harder to beat. Catalans were dire last night against Wigan, as they were in last season’s play-off match. But on home turf they are a completely different opposition, helped massively by the hostile atmosphere which their fans create.

It should be a great game tonight at Headingley but I cannot see either side progressing any further next week. But then again, Leeds were dead and buried when they finished 5th in the league last year…..
